Going to Cali

It's pretty crazy. Alli is going to be going to Fuller Seminary, in Pasadena, CA. Its right outside of L.A.
So what am I going to be doing? Well, I'm going to study networking for the time being. I am right now working on my CCNA, a networking certification, and I'm thinking it will give me a decent job somewhere in Pasadena. What will I do with it, someone might ask.. Well...We're thinking we might go back to a mission field where missionaries don't usually get in. So I might be able to get in on a work visa, maybe even to a Muslim country in northern Africa.

We're not positive where God will lead us at this point, but we're taking it one step at a time. Alli is really stoked about Fuller. Its a great missions school, and we are excited about go. She will be doing a MA in intercultural studies, with emphasis in 'ethnomusicalogy' - basically music in other cultures. It's one of only three other schools that we know offer the program, and we'll spend about two years on the west coast.

Am I thrilled about two years being away from the mission field or family or friends? Not really. But it will be a great time to grow and interact in a very culturally diverse place.

Oh, I forgot to say so, but we're driving there! From TN - to Ohio (Alli's parents) to California. It will be a fun trip, and we're looking forward to it.

--Pictured here is my, and alli's, best friend, Trish, pictured in the middle, whom will be visiting us, albeit very soon, in California, in October, which will he just after we get there (we get there September 16thish, she flies out September 29th) because she promised us a very long time ago, back in 2004 or 5, that she would visit us in Africa, and she never had a financial chance to (and who can blame her!), but now wants to make it up by bringing herself, a video camera, and alot of energy to california, so that I can make a video for her and Alli to enter the two of them into the amazing race (a reality tv show where contestants race around the world to win). It should be lots of fun
