Busy - April 2005

Chuck and I have both been very busy the past week. We will be returning to the States in about a week, so we have much to finalize here before we leave. When we come back in June, the school will be moving to a new location. That means we have lots of packing and organizing to complete now! I have had some exciting ideas about events to prepare for at the new school facilities. I am working on scheduling a church music seminar and will be inviting church musicians from Ghana and the surrounding countries. There is much enthusiasm for music in the local churches, yet there is a considerable lack of training. I will work on putting together and promoting a long-weekend seminar in the next few months. I am also planning on starting a PATC choir in the fall. It will be a great time to start, as there are specific challenges to starting a choir here, and I really wanted a few months to learn about the worship styles in West Africa. It will be an international choir, so we will be singing songs in many different languages and styles. Hopefully, we will be able to sing for the Ghana National Convention next year, as well as at local churches and events.
